Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

The Abrand Consults Ltd (“The Abrand Consults”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use theabrandconsult.com or engage our consultation, international licensing, home care and corporate healthcare services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

The Abrand Consults Ltd is a healthcare consultancy registered in Nigeria, providing nursing consultations, international licensing and migration guidance, home care coordination and corporate healthcare support. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@theabrandconsult.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number and password credentials when you create an account.
  • Booking information — the service selected, preferred dates and times, consultation channel (video call, phone call or home visit), service address where relevant, and notes you provide about your needs.
  • Health-related information — any clinical or care details you voluntarily share so we can advise you or coordinate care. We treat this as special category data and handle it with additional care.
  • Payment information — transaction reference, amount, currency and payment status. Card and bank details are entered directly with our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Communications — enquiry forms, support tickets, assistant chat transcripts and emails exchanged with our team.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and verify your identity.
  • To process bookings, confirm appointments, issue meeting links and send reminders.
  • To take and verify payments, issue receipts and handle refunds or disputes.
  • To deliver the consultancy, licensing or care services you requested.
  • To respond to enquiries, support tickets and complaints.
  • To send service updates and, where you have opted in, occasional newsletters.
  • To secure our platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep records required by law.
  • To analyse aggregated usage so we can improve our website and services.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Payment processors to authorise and verify your transaction.
  • Hosting, database and email providers that run our platform and deliver transactional messages.
  • Video conferencing and calendar providers when a virtual session is scheduled on your behalf.
  • Care partners and licensed professionals directly involved in delivering a service you booked, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Regulators, auditors or law enforcement where we are legally required to disclose information.

Some providers operate outside your country. Where information is transferred internationally we use reputable providers with appropriate safeguards and contractual protections.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary. Account and booking records are retained for the life of your account and for up to six years afterwards where needed for tax, accounting or legal defence. Payment records are retained for the period required by financial regulation. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Anything no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage, row-level database access controls, role-based administrative permissions, rate limiting on sensitive endpoints and audit logging. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and are never visible to our staff. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of your information where we have no ongoing legal reason to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

To exercise any right, email info@theabrandconsult.com. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the booking and payment flow; these cannot be switched off. Where enabled, we also use analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential cookies are required for bookings and payments to work.

10. Children's privacy

Our website and accounts are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. Where a service concerns a minor or a dependent, the booking must be made by a parent, guardian or authorised representative. If you believe a child has provided us with information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party links

Our site links to external resources, regulators and social profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be communicated by email or an on-site notice.
